Programming
Our training sessions will emphasize positive reinforcement and fun for you and your dog(s). Lectures and demonstrations always center on enriching the time we have with our four-legged friends. In fact, our entire program is designed to reflect the three components of the Camp Dogwood Mission: the Dog, the Bond, and the Community.

Extended Camp Options
WInter: January 14, 2010
Spring: May 27, 2010
Fall: October 7, 2010
Given the success of extended camps in the past, Camp Dogwood will once again allow full camp campers the option of coming a day early. Campers MUST pre-register for this extended option. Just like regular camp, Extended Camp includes meals and an extra night of lodging. Although there will be no activity schedule on this extra day of camp, it is a great way to become familiar with the camp facility, relax and get settled in before all the camp excitement begins, hike or swim at the beach, play on an open field...or just chill out! Extended camp is an additional fee of $95 per person added to your camp rate.
Agility Workshops
Spring: May 27-28, 2010
Fall: October 7-8, 2010
Camp Dogwod will be offering an extra Agility Workshop, beginning late morning the Thursday before each camp. The Agility Workshop will offer participants two levels of training (Beginning/Advanced Beginner & Intermediate/Advanced). Each group will receive 2 classes on Thursday and 1 class on Friday morning. Ashlee Trotter from Creative Paws will be the lead agility instructor, along with Christy Meyer from Thunder Hawk Canine. Agility workshop attendees can choose from the following options:

Option B: Agility Workshop only - This option is for those NOT attending Camp, but who would like to participate in the Agility Workshop. Fee includes instructional agility sessions, 3 meals, and access to the camp facility (trails, beach, fields, Scrapbooking) on Thursday (morning) - Friday (workshop is over by 11:00 am). Rowdy Rover Workshop
Spring Camp May 27-May 28, Fall Camp October 7-October 8
Join Mare Potts, long time Camp Dogwood staff member and instructor of many activities (flying disc, trick training, discgility, freestyle disc, skateboarding, and more) for the Rowdy Rover Workshop. This workshop is designed to help humans learn to manage their "rowdy" dog using postive and motivating training methods. If your dog is a bit reactive, needs a little extra space, is a little too exuberant, is a "teenager" - this workshop can help you to have a fun and successful time at camp, as well as in your day-to-day life at home. Please note - this workshop is not intended for aggressive dogs.
Option A: Rowdy Rover Workshop plus attending Camp - This option includes full participation in the Workshop, all of the Extended camp features described above, and the full session of Fall Camp. Cost: $175 per person & one working dog, added to your camp fee.
